In the now invented series of people I like, I start with the aforementioned comedian. But who is Anthony Jeselnik, you might ask? He is a comedian who is perhaps most known for his at times dark jokes. And before you dismiss that, I just want to say that’s not why I like him. Yes, sure, he’s funny. But here’s a small list of why I respect him:
- His TikTok feed is taken up by his book club, which you can join if you send him an email. You read one book a month.
- Despite his harsh jokes, he has several times taken a stand against comedians who engage in “bullying,” especially on the right wing.
- He comes across as an incredibly honest person.
I might be wrong. Maybe it’s all just fake. But that’s how it feels to me.
